For the Catechism begins to examine what makes a human person a person and the various things that the creation account relates to us as a gospel message.

Review of Creation
Friday Oct 25, 2019
Friday Oct 25, 2019
Today we come to a review section in the Catechism and look back on the most current topics concerning creation and angels. We are reminded in this section about how we need other things to exist, because everything, the angels and created things are placed in our lives to help us get to heaven and live today. As such it reminds us that we need to also help others live better lives as well. This interdependence calls us to be who we are and not something that we are not.

Nothing created is independent. We all need each other and everything in the universe provides something that something else needs. This interdependence is part of why we are called to love one another and reveals that being different does not mean that any are less important than another.

Created Unique

All things are inherently good in and of themselves. The belief that anything is inferior or wicked because it is different, or that creation has been corrupted to the point that it is evil is not something that we believe about nature or the created world. All things are good in the sense of God's creation of them. Being a man or a woman does not make one lesser or greater. Being born with original sin does not make nature evil. God created all for a good purpose and they originate from Him and therefore are good, wholesome.
