Circumcised in Baptism
Tuesday Jan 21, 2020
Tuesday Jan 21, 2020
As we review the events that lead up to the Birth of Christ we are reminded of how God was at work in the Old Testament period to prepare us and the world for the coming of Christ as a person we can relate to. This, in turn, helps us understand our need to be united with Him and we find that the moment in which we become united with Christ is our baptism.

Claiming Him
Monday Jan 20, 2020
Monday Jan 20, 2020
What does the Word of Faith movement teach that is true of our rights as believers? It is simply that we can claim what belongs to us in Christ. We can claim the blessings and healings that come from being a Christian, but only as far as we identify with the cross of Christ. If we suffer for Him, we will reign with Him.

Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Here I am Lord. I come to do your will. This is the response verse that we declare in the Mass today, but do we really mean it? Do we truly want to be who God has designed us to become or do we only want to pursue our own happiness and what we want to identify as?

The Mystery of Christ
Friday Jan 17, 2020
Friday Jan 17, 2020
The life of our Lord is something that has great meaning for us because he is God Incarnate. While we may never know everything about Him because there would not be any way we could know everything He did and said (John 20:30), what we can know is worthy of our contemplation, worship, and love.

Mary Ever-Virgin
Tuesday Jan 14, 2020
Tuesday Jan 14, 2020
When it comes to the virginity of Mary the most problematic aspect of that belief comes when the Church tells us that she was always a virgin, even after Jesus was born. A lot of this comes from our "modern" ideas about sexuality and misunderstanding about the ancient world and how relatives in families beyond immediate members could be called "brothers" or "sisters".

Virgin Conceives by Faith
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Today's title for this episode is more of a newspaper styled heading that summarizes the Annunciation event. It is something that points out for us the way in which Mary provides an example of how we are to believe and is a testimony to a marvelous work that God had done. And, in this event, we find one of the many reasons why Mary is biblically and by faith declared to be a virgin at the time of Christ's birth.
